Press & Media

ExpatVoice is an independent, non-partisan civic initiative helping foreign residents in Malta become informed and involved in civic life. We are happy to talk to journalists.

In one line

An independent civic initiative helping expatriates in Malta understand their rights and be heard where they live.

In one paragraph

ExpatVoice publishes free, source-verified civic guides for foreign residents in Malta, and operates an encrypted, anonymous channel for people to report the problems they face. It was founded in 2026 by Cristiano Blanco, an Italian resident of Malta. It is currently self-funded and is preparing to become a Voluntary Organisation under Chapter 492 of the Laws of Malta.

Three things that make us unusual

  • Reports are encrypted in the browser. We cannot read them without a key that exists on no server. Neither can our hosting provider or its AI tools.
  • We publish our AI use openly. Guides are drafted with AI assistance; every factual claim is verified against an official source before publication. Corrections are published, dated, and never made quietly.
  • We disclose every conflict of interest before anyone asks. See Transparency & Funding.

Founder

Cristiano Blanco. Italian, resident in Malta since 2017. Professional journalist. CEO and partner of an iGaming company in Malta; founder of ResidenteAllEstero.com and GoCV.ai. None of these has any role in, or access to, ExpatVoice.
