1. Who we are

This website is operated by Cristiano Blanco, 1044 Pender Gardens, Triq Gort, St Julian's STJ 1900, Malta (info@expatvoice.mt), as an independent, non-commercial civic initiative. See our Legal Notice.

2. This is information, not advice

⚠️ Everything on this website is general information. It is not legal, immigration, medical, financial or professional advice, and must not be relied on as such.

Rules on residence, employment, healthcare and electoral registration in Malta change and depend on individual circumstances. Always verify your own situation with the relevant Maltese authority before acting. If you need advice, consult a qualified professional.

We take accuracy extremely seriously (see our Editorial & Accuracy Policy), but we cannot guarantee that every piece of information is complete, current or applicable to you, and we accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on it, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

For urgent matters, contact the relevant Maltese authority or the emergency services directly.

3. What you may do

Read our content, share it, and link to it. You may reproduce our guides for non-commercial purposes with attribution to ExpatVoice and a link to the original. You may not sell them or present them as your own.

4. What you may not do

• Submit false, malicious or misleading reports.
• Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory or hateful.
• Submit personal data about other people without a lawful basis (see Community Guidelines).
• Attempt to access, disrupt, probe or overload our systems, or bypass any security or bot-protection measure.
• Scrape or bulk-harvest this website.
• Use ExpatVoice for commercial promotion, recruitment or lead generation.
• Use ExpatVoice for party-political campaigning.

We may remove content and block access where these terms are breached.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of anything you send us. By submitting a report you allow us to use it, in anonymised, aggregated form only, to understand and describe patterns affecting expats in Malta. By submitting a story you grant us permission to publish it only in the manner you selected, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.

6. Third-party links

We link to official Maltese and EU sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

7. Availability

This is a volunteer-run initiative provided free of charge, on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee it will always be available, and we may change or discontinue it.

8. Complaints and reports

Something on this site that shouldn't be here? info@expatvoice.mt. We respond to every notice and act on valid ones promptly.

9. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer or as a data subject.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page.
